It’s your Wedding Day; your very special day - and it’s going to be a day for you, your family and your friends to eat, drink and make wonderful memories to last a lifetime. Here at Little Green Wedding Barn we know that, on one of the most exciting days of your life, the food and drink that you offer to your guests is going to be very important to you and it’s also very important to us too. Professional Chef Paul and wife Sarah are true foodies at heart with more than 25 years’ experience in the business – they run the Fox & Goose Restaurant & Country Pub in Fressingfield. So, whether you know exactly what you want or are still wondering and would like some ideas or advice – we’re here to help and to offer inspiration if you need it.
Our long-reaching views out over the beautiful Waveney Valley on the borders of Suffolk and Norfolk reflect just how lucky we are to be surrounded by so many fabulous ingredients as a starting point for your big day. Fresh fish and seafood from 200 miles of coastline, great quality home-produced meat from local farms, delicious soft fruit and berries and, of course, not forgetting Suffolk and Norfolk’s range of locally produced cheeses from Norfolk Mardler to Suffolk Blue. We also have our own orchard here at Little Green Wedding Barn where we grow apples, plums, pears and strawberries. Indeed, our vision is to become self-sufficient making full use of the surrounding 20 acres.
We’re lucky to have a surprising number of great local brewers in Suffolk and Norfolk, using locally sourced ingredients to produce delicious and sometimes unusual tasting beers and as the East of England is one of the driest and sunniest parts of the country – perfect for growing grapes; we’ve even got vineyards too; producing their own excellent quality wines.
Whatever your dream day includes, we’re always happy to accommodate it. You can choose whether you and your guests would like to eat inside with a traditional formal Top Table - or we can set up a stunning outside space in our beautiful grounds. As evening falls, the atmosphere is very special under the stars - with tables set and lights twinkling. We can include everything that you need – crockery, cutlery, glassware, table linen and staff to serve your guests.
If, however, you don’t want a formal sit-down dinner provided by our team and would prefer something more informal and fun that you feel better reflects you and your partner – we’ve seen so many wonderfully inventive wedding breakfasts that we’d be happy to help facilitate.
